Anyone know where to source the metal bar stock material for cam clamps? -j. |

1/4" x 1" aluminum flat bar. most home improvement stores will have it. I know HD does if you want to go tempered steel then you will have to find a steel supply yard. I have to say for what we are clamping in luthierie the aluminum flat bar is fine. |

G'day, Like Michael, I used the aluminium. Light and plenty strong ! I used 3/8 " brass rod for the bar locks (grabbers or whatever you call them ) ,as I thought they would be kinder to the bar Regards KiwiCraig |

Sorry! , I meant 1/4" brass rod not 3/8 ". They work plenty good too ! KiwiCraig |

MSC is another source. I just downloaded the plans and will make some. I do see that mousebar is out of business. |
